Our Department was started on 1998 with 7 Faculty Members. Now it has reached to 12 Staff Members which include Professor, 2 Assistant Professors, 8 Lecturers and one Lab Assistant. Initially we started with 60 students intake per Year Now we have grown to 120 students.Our Department is headed by Mrs.P.Selvi Rajendran. |

| Computing Facilities: |

| The department provides a network of computers with updated configurations. Software applications from word-processing to advanced statistical and mathematical packages are available. |
| Student Association Activities:
|

| The students of our department have formed an association named "INFOTEAM". This association organizes technical seminars, conferences and workshops. Students are encouraged to take part in activities organized by the other institutions in the country, for participation, paper presentation, quiz, etc., thereby increasing their awareness about interactive participation and intellectual involvement. |

| Industry exposure: |
| Industrial visits to various industries are organised an a regular basis and senior people from different fields are invited in each and every semester to deliver lectures on the latest developments and innovations in their respective field of interest.

| In-plant training is also offered to students in the companies so that their learning process is strengthened with practical exposure. |

| Value addition: |

| Guest lectures, seminars and workshops are conducted on a variety of subjects with experts in different fields. |

| Mock interviews and group discussions are organized to familiarize students with standard selection procedures. Our students also get opportunities to interact with the people in the industrial world and gain knowledge and sound exposure to face the world. |

| The State of the art lab functions with adequate number of systems equipped with latest softwares. All the systems are connected with 15DN lines for Internet access & served by powerful servers. |
